St. George – Utah’s Dixie

Just 90 minutes north of Las Vegas, Nevada, in the Southwest corner of Utah, desert red rock meets alpine mountain in a stunning display of geologic majesty. The landscape rises from 2,000 feet in the Virgin River Gorge, to 10,000 feet at the top of Pine Mountain. Nestled in the midst of the unfolding terrain is St. George—a vibrant city with an active lifestyle, great hotels, elegant spas, unique shopping, delicious restaurants, 13 golf courses, and plenty of white-knuckle adventure nearby.

With a thriving arts scene, a temperate climate, ribbons of emerald green fairways, and the incredible scenery of Zion National Park, Washington County is a haven you’ll wish you discovered long ago.

The colors will astound you. The perspective will humble you. The immensity will leave you in awe.

Within a short drive of St. George are some of the worlds most magnificent parks and recreation areas. Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Lake Powell are all within three hours or less; Zion is less than an hour away. Other places equally as impressive but less known are Snow Canyon State Park located eight miles from St. George in the town of Ivins and Red Cliffs Recreation Area 14 miles northeast of St. George just off the Interstate-15 freeway.
