Ogden, Utah
This is our home. Our skyscrapers are Ben Lomond Peak, Mt. Ogden and Strawberry Peak. You probably won’t see a lot of celebrities, but you’ll see plenty of stars. You’ll find good eats, a place to sleep and a huge playground. In March of 2002, Sunset Magazine named Ogden as the city with the “best access to the outdoors.” It touted our hiking and biking trails and the awesome views from the mountain- top.
Ogden’s downtown historic district has been designated a national historic area and the “Crossroads of the West Historical District.” This legislative designation qualifies the area for millions of dollars in matching funds to continue restoration and marketing projects.
There are 38 recreational parks in the Ogden/Weber area. In the heart of Ogden City is Utah’s only whitewater park that features concrete launching pads and class 2 and 3 rapids.
There are more examples of Art Deco architecture in Ogden then any other Utah city. Ogden High School, the U.S. Forest Service Regional Headquarters, and the Ogden Municipal Building were all built in the 20’s using this building style.
Whether you’re enjoying the serenity of our mountains or the eclectic vibe of notoriously charming Historic 25th Street, we hope you feel welcome in our home.
