The Idaho ski season typically begins in mid/late-November and ends mid-April to early May, depending on snow fall. Approximately 1.6 million skiers and snowboarders visit Idaho ski areas annually. The 18 Idaho ski areas are located in all regions of the state and many provide easily accessible and affordable transportation opportunities.

Brundage Mountain
Located eight miles north of McCall, ID, and just two hours north of Boise, Brundage Mountain Resort features 1500 acres of wide, elegantly-groomed runs, abundant powder glades, and is well known for having the Best Snow in Idaho.

Bald Mountain – Located amongst the vast Clearwater Mountains along the Golf Rush Historic Byway in North Central Idaho. Since establishment in 1959, this “close to you” ski hill offers terrain for every level of skier and snowboarder.

Bogus Basin – Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area has been the Treasure Valley’s winter playground for 66 years. Located 16 miles north of Boise, Mother Nature blankets the slopes of Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area with 150″-200″ of natural snow.

Cottonwood Butte – Located in the heart of the Camas Prairie near the town of Cottonwood, Idaho where the pleasurable atmosphere on the slopes, courteous management and friendly hospitality is not the exception but the rule.

Kelly Canyon  - Kelly Canyon Ski Resort is located in the Targhee National Forest near the South Fork of the Snake River and is one of the most beautiful and historic river valleys of Eastern Idaho.

Little Ski Hill – Located two miles north of McCall, Idaho on highway 55. McCall’s Little Ski Hill is one of the oldest ski areas developed in Idaho, preceded only by Sun Valley and Lookout Pass.

Lookout Pass – Idaho’s original ski area, opened in 1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars.

Lost Trail – Lost Trail Powder Mountain sits atop the Continental Divide on Highway 93 where Montana and Idaho meet. With over 300 inches of snowfall every year, these still undiscovered slopes await your visit.

Magic Mountain – Whether you are starting young ones out on our Magic Carpet Ride or seeking the steep and deep powder, we have it all and it’s all a short drive from anywhere in Magic Valley.

Pebble Creek – Pebble Creek is a vertical playground that attracts extreme skiers but also offers plenty of terrain variety for other skill levels. Located just south of the city of Pocatello in the Caribou National Forest, Pebble Creek boasts virtually non-existent lift lines.

Pomerelle – Pomerelle Resort welcomes guests with great snow, affordable rates, smiles and service. Pomerelle is a relaxed, fun-filled, personalized day resort nestled in the Sawtooth National Forest at 8,000 feet.

Schweitzer  - With a dazzling view of Lake Pend Oreille, Schweitzer Mountain Resort lies high in the Selkirk Range of the Northwest Rocky Mountains, where abundant snowfall buries the slopes in more than 300 inches annually.

Silver Mountain  - Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, Idaho receives over 300” of famously light snow and offers a big-mountain experience on 2,200 vertical feet of exciting terrain. The ski area spans two mountains.

Snowhaven – Snowhaven is a small ski resort near Grangeville with 7 runs served by a T-bar and rope tow. Ski and snowboard terrain includes 40 acres with a vertical drop of 440 ft. It offers a day lodge with a snack bar and sun deck, a ski shop and a ski school.

Soldier Mountain – The mountain offers great low prices and awesome snow with 36+ runs and an enhanced snowboard terrain park. Soldier Mountain is one of Idaho’s hidden gems, an easy-going resort located in the picturesque Sawtooth National Forest.

Tamarack – Pristine powder or corduroy groomers or cliff drops; whatever your pleasure for a winter adventure – your trailhead to discovery awaits at Tamarack. With an average snow fall of 300 inches a year you’ll experience great snow on their 32 runs.
