Gateway Canyons Resort, the premium destination in southwestern Colorado for adventure, arts and entertainment, will herald the close of summer on Saturday, September 4, 2010, with the second annual BBQ Blues. This event will feature a number of well-known blues bands for a day of memorable music, along with barbecue specialties that will be served throughout the day. This is also a charity event to promote awareness of the Wounded Warrior Project, a program that honors and empowers service members injured in the line of duty. The second annual BBQ Blues will showcase a number of well-known blues bands for a day of memorable music, and serve delicious grilled fare. The musical lineup includes Big Daddy Lee and the Kingbees, Once Removed Blues Band, Kirk James Band, Steve Crenshaw & the Blues Shop and the Williams Brothers Band. Shows begin at 11:00 AM at the outdoor stage of the Mission Bell Amphitheater; tickets are $25 and go on sale in August.
